Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli in Williston

Smiling Moose is probably one of the better places to eat at in Williston my opinion. I prefer a healthier version of food when I go out to eat, that makes it hard to find a good place in Williston, Smiling Moose has a good menu for healthy alternatives. Prices are okay not the cheapest but the quality is good and well worth it. Employees are friendly and helpful, and overall cleanliness of the restaurant is good.

The food has always been good, but the service is a bit shaky. Sometimes, the wait time can be long, even when they are not busy. Worth it to not have the regular fast food experience, though.

When I picked up my lunch order I found my soups were placed in coffee cups. When I asked why I was told they ran out of bowl lids. For the soup to be 5 to 6 dollars they could have done something better. The sandwich my husband had to open his sandwich to see if there was any meat on it. The whole lunch experience was just awful. Needless to say I won't be back!!!!

Awesome food and service

Food was good. Order was messed up due to some menu grammar. Apparently when the menu says you get eggs AND your choice between two meats with the waffles it doesn't mean you get eggs regardless, if you don't specify them you won't get them.

Great experience and the front counter girl was awesome!! I said to my bf as we we're walking out what great customer service she had. The subs we're great and next time were in Williston I'm requesting we go back!!

First time there. Paid $18 for combo. Food never arrived (After waiting 20 minutes I had to go ask for it; discovered it sitting, forgotten on the counter).Sandwich (too salty) & mac n cheese was lukewarm. Fountain drink was good.Disappointing experience overall.

The food is good, I love the bread they make the sandwiches on, good varieties as well, but price is rather high. For 2 people with just a sandwich and drinks is typically over 30 bucks! I'd go here daily if it was cheaper, would also give it 5 stars.

Fantastic, good tasting food, with many options for everyone, regardless if you're vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous. The place is great to sit and relax, and you can order online and pick up to save time if you need to. Only downside is it can be a little pricey, but for about $10, you can get a giant sandwich. I'd eat lunch here every day if I could afford it!

Pretty good food. They actually messed my order up, but made it right with no trouble.

The saddest thing is that I live 2 hours away. The Mo is the way to go! Excellent as always. [edit: I forgot to mention how courteous the staff was; they were outstanding! The [ultra short] wait time was worth it because our food was HOT and fresh when it arrived.]

Love this place ! We come here often , and today on 8/24/2018 the girls working were so kind and nice ! They had great energy and great customer service . The only suggestion we have would be that the meat on the moe is sometimes dry and has little to no flavor , which is sad cause it’s our favorite item off the menu ! It rarely happens but when it does it’s a huge disappointment . When it’s made right the moe is absolutely delicious . Will continue to come here , and hope that there can be better consistency in flavor of food ! :)

The best sandwiches & service

This place has really good sandwiches and cookies. Highly recommend.

Shout out to Bella behind the counter the other day for helping me when the assistant manager had no clue what to do about the drink machine being out of order. She was very polite and helpful, unfortunately I can't say the same for the assistant manager on duty. Good luck to all the high schoolers working in that environment! Would have given 5 stars if not for the scene I witnessed.

It's a just a bun with 20 lb of ground beef

This place has gone way down hill. Food quality and portion size flat out sucks. I’ve been disappointed the last three times I’ve eaten here, and I won’t be back. Go next door for a much better meal.

They got rid of the only reason I would go there for lunch, the green chili soup! The sandwiches are ok, messy and just mostly bread, but the soup was amazing! It was literally always sold out because it was so good. I won't be going back.

It was pretty good; a little greasy but I'll be back for sure.

Stopped in today at a slow time, and gave them a very basic order, which took over 20 minutes to get(with no one else in front of me. Ordered lunch for 2 without drinks and it was 36 dollars. Whole staff looked like they were half asleep, moving at the speed of snails. Food was good, but that was the only redeeming quality. If you’re not in a hurry, and have a lot of money to burn, this is the place for you.

Love it!! Love everything about it. Easy, just walk in, pick a sandwich, soup, or both, pay, wait a short while, pig out. Southwest Mo is my favorite with candied jalapenos

Friendly staff, good food!

Not worth the money. Ordered the Motherlode sandwich. $8+ for a sandwich that only leaves you half full. Also the free cookie on Wednesday only comes with the 12" sandwich. Won't be back. Will continue going to Culver's regularly instead.

They can't get orders right and seem not to care about the inconvenience they have created. Specifically asked for a salad to be made without certain ingredients, but they did not follow my request. Did not give me a sandwich I ordered AND one of the salads in my order was completely the wrong salad. Poor management and oversight. Employees don't seem to have a clue what they are doing. Customer service does not exist.

Employees not friendly no greeting nothing just wanted to sit in the back and loudly chat. Mo melt beef didn't have any seasoning at all. Chicken echilada soup had zucchini in it? Odd and barely any chicken. I can see why they are trying to hire a new manager on indeed. Good luck place would be 5 stars if employees could execute.

Healthyest option I have found in Williston.The food is good and the place is clean. Eggs could use some seasoning.I didn’t eat there for a week because I thought they were closed. Don’t let the “closed” appearance fool you. They just have dark tinted windows.

Have eaten at the Williston, ND Smiling Moose on many occasions. I ordered my regular sandwich, the Original Mo 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad on a white baguette to be told I could not have it unless it was on wheat or rye. Because they can't cut a white baguette inhalf. Mind you I explained I cant have wheat or rye. The manager Becky refused to cut a white baguette in half and told me I would need to buy the whole sandwich. Even though i order this everytime I come here. When I finally got my sandwich it was to go even though they were told to stay. When told it was for here they threw it on a plate brought it to my table and slammed it down on the table. Never has anything like this happen before. I think better management might be the key wen your risking peoples health because a baguette cant be cut in half!

Love this place but it seems to be lacking the attention to detail they had a year ago. Still recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the bucking bronco beef with peppercinis and the chicken enchilada soup-- not shown here- this is the broccoli cheddar on the pick up a perfect pair menu. Sooooo good. Yes. Go here.

My breakfast scramble was delicious! The portion for the price is just right and I absolutely love the bacon here! The service was pretty quick, the employees are very friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

How this chain hasn’t put Subway out of business is beyond me. This place is like a WAY BETTER Subway. The tomato bisque is the best I have ever had in my entire life. I am not an avacado fan, so I order mine without. The food is just next level.

I ordered a mini and got a mighty. That’s not why this review is so low. I ordered a green thumb with no tomatoes and extra mushrooms. I received no tomatoes and no mushrooms so my sandwich was cheese artichokes and pesto sauce. What happened?
